"A Window of Opportunity"

A gap in the curtain
A chink in the wall
A chance to gain entrance
To a new, unvisited place
To a heart untouched
By the power of true love
A chance to mend that
Which once went far wrong

The healing touch
Of a warm, caring hand
Healing the lonliness
Of one left lost in the wind

Would that I could
Let you know the strength
The power
Of my undying love
The best I can do
The only thing I can do
Is promise never to leave
And always to cherish
And care for you

My love for thee
Is stronger than iron
As unending as the
Far reaches of the universe
For you, and you only
Do I hold sacred in my heart
A place kept special for you
Always, forever

I think of you
Picture you
My heart speeds up
I remember our time together
And a smile creeps onto my face
You are my light
My sunshine
You are myself
A piece of me
Never to part with

All my words
My poems, my songs
Our long talks together
None can show even a small part
Of the depth of my love
No amount of presents
No amount of promises
Can ever show how I feel
I hope only that you
Can read inside me
And understand
My love
For you
