"Unfulfilled Love"

A soft, tender touch
A shifting of emotion
A warming of my entire body
A smile
A gaze
One hint of her brings me these

In my mind I see her
A flowing dress
Teasing, taunting
Sensuously covering her
Yet not hiding her form
Her eyes dancing
Her lips, ruby red
A brilliant smile
Warming my heart

I ask
I wish
For her attentions
I hope for much
I know though
No matter how hard I may try
She shall never be mine
To care for
To hold
To love

I can only love from afar
Her true form hidden
No pictures, no voice
My impressions of her description
All that I know
She is beautiful
Wondrous
A shining star in the sky

I will always love her
And appreciate her beauty
It matters not
That we may never meet
Only that I care for her
And she for me
May our hearts forever
Bond in love and friendship
And may she never forget that
I love her

A small drop of water
Slowly slides down
The face of a man
In love
The only visible sign
Of the heartbreak
Of his love
Unrecognized
And unknown
