Poem written by Benjamin Wiechel "Silence"In the silence of the night I dream a silent dream One of pain, of sorrow I dream for that which cannot be I dream for things unrealistic I dream of happiness That which I cannot have I am alone A whisper of something That once was A silent breeze past your window A fleeting thought in your mind I am empty inside A veritable void A vacuum, waiting to be filled I follow the road to happiness At least, that which I know But more often than not It turns out to be despair Not happiness That I find Would that things could be different Perhaps my countenance would clear However, since that cannot be It is a clouded face that I must wear Gandalf Back to the poetry list. |
