Poem written by Benjamin Wiechel "I'll Remember"When the sun goes down Closing this chapter of my life When your picture in my mind Is dimmed and grey When I no longer can hear your voice Whispering in through my mind I'll remember When my eyes close And there is nothing before them Your image will come to me And the sound of your voice Warming my heart The memory of your touch Making my skin tingle I'll remember you Throughout the years The time we spent together Laughing, smiling Getting to know each other The nights spent snuggling Feeding each other ice cream Candlelit dinners by the starlit window All these things Burned forever into my memories Whenever you think That you have passed from my mind That the time we shared Meant nothing at all Whenever you feel That I hvae forgotten what we've shared Please read these words And remember Remember what I've said I'll remember Back to the poetry list. |
