Poem written by Benjamin Wiechel

"Marriage of Opposites"

Soft white skin
Graced by beautiful
Shining red hair
Piercing blue eyes
Shining out
Smile warm as a sunbeam
Bright as a shining star
Heart warm and loving

She is the sun
And I the moon
Forever chasing each other
Slowly around the Earth
I yearn for her love
For her presence
I reach out for her
Yet always my hand
Falls just short

My heart is hers
Now and forever
Warmed only by the hope
That she might return my love
Pleading, begging
Reaching out to her

Finally, gently
We meet
A slow, tender embrace
Sun and moon
Day and night
Bound together in love
Her touch soft and warm
Her smile
Ever brightening
How could I not love
One so beautiful
So loving
Such tenderness could never
Ever be bought
I show her my love
And find that she
That she loves me
As much as I do her

My heart leaps
My throat tightens
Is this really love
Is this finally a chance
At finding happiness?
At ridding my life
Of endless lonliness?
I do not know
Yet deep down inside
I know that her love
Like mine
Is beyond words
Inexpressible
A love as of those
Destined to be together
As I hold out my hand
She takes it in hers
Never to be parted
Never to be alone
Always together in this world
A marriage between Light
And Darkness
Good and Evil
But one which shall
Always
Be together
An unbreakable love
Of two people
Merging two parts
Into one beautiful
Loving
Whole
